Who Are We: The Indiana FireVets American Legion Chapter is dedicated to Indiana veterans who are active or retired members of the fire service. Our mission is to uphold the ideals of the military and fire service by serving our community and supporting fellow veterans.

Our Mission: We help FireVets understand and access the benefits they’ve earned by guiding them through the VA process. We also strive for community involvement and partnership with local organizations.

How We Support Veterans: • Connect veterans with qualified Veteran Service Officers (VSOs) for claims assistance • Provide guidance on evidence gathering and documentation for claims and Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams • Offer personalized support to prepare for C&P exams • Ensure veterans maximize their benefits, regardless of current rating • Stay with you throughout the entire claims process

Additional Support: • Peer-to-peer assistance for any challenges you face • Mental health resources and peer support • Innovative ways to engage with the community and partner with local organizations

Join Us: We hold monthly meetings on the 4th Thursday of each month at 7 PM at the Local 416 Union Hall - 748 Massachusetts Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46204 FireVets is open to all Indiana veterans who are active or retired Fire Service Members.
