Brothers and Sisters,

As we approach the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we have an opportunity—and a responsibility—to stand together in remembrance and honor.

We are organizing a memorial parade march to recognize the sacrifice, service, and commitment of those who responded on that day, with special recognition given to the members deployed as part of Indiana Task Force 1 to the World Trade Center.

This is an open event for all firefighters and EMS professionals who wish to participate in honoring our fallen, supporting those who answered the call, and reinforcing the bond of our fire service family.

This march is more than a ceremony—it is a visible commitment that we will never forget the courage, sacrifice, and unity that define our profession. Our goal is to have 343 participants, or more, make the march from the L416 Hall to the Memorial site beside IFD Station 13 at the canal. a March of approximately 1.7 miles.

After the march, the Indianapolis Firefighters Local 416 will host a celebration for all those who attend at

 The Dug Out

 621 Virginia Ave

Indianapolis, IN 46203

Please sign up, bring your crew, bring your family, and remember and celebrate with us.

UDS scans commence next week. There are still slots available, please see attached flier for details and sign up information. This service will be hosted at the Union Hall and available to ALL members of Local 416 and their spouses. The cost is 335 dollars per individual scanned but is HSA qualified. If you are unfamiliar with UDS, they provide a full body ultrasound which is an excellent early indicator for multiple serious health risks. During past screenings UDS has detected dozens of actionable cancers and tumors in our population alone, and saved many lives nationally through early detection and recognition of life threatening afflictions that go unnoticed from a typical physical, especially a department physical.
