FDIC International Returns To Indy For The 22nd Year

2018 marks the 91st Fire Department Instructors Conference

The Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC International) is just around the corner and headed to Indianapolis next week – April 23-28 2018. With 26 Hands On Training Classes, 91 workshops, over 200 classrooms, over 850 Exhibitors and over 30,000 firefighters from 53 countries, FDIC International showcases the latest techniques in firefighter safety and the newest in fire ground tools and apparatus. Opening Ceremonies:

Wednesday April 25, 2018 8:00 am – 10:00 am Indiana Convention Center – Sagamore Ballroom (2nd floor) Media should arrive at approximately 7:45 am and come to the ballroom. The media staging location is in the center rear. Thousands of Firefighters will be in attendance – Governor Eric Holcomb, Mayor Joe Hogsett and IFD Chief Ernest Malone are each scheduled to speak.

Presentation to 2018 winner of the Ray Downey Courage and Valor Award – Firefighter Ralph A. Brown II from the Cobb County (GA) Fire and Emergency Services
Featured speaker is William B. “Brock” Long, Administrator, Federal Emergency Management Agency “The Future of Emergency Management and First Responders”
Keynote speaker is Daniel DeGryse, Director, Rosecrance Florian Program; Battalion Chief, Chicago (IL) Fire Department “Straight Talk”
