LAST ASSIGNMENT: Rodger Clark was appointed to the Indianapolis Fire Department on 06/10/1970. He first served in the United States Army during Vietnam War from 1966-1970. He earned several medals and commendations including a Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, National Defense Service Medal, and a Vietnam Campaign Medal. Rodger spent his first day after recruit school on 07/21/1970 at Engine 27 A shift. On 03/01/1974, he took his first regular assignment on Snorkel 31 A shift. Several months later, he transferred to Engine 12 A shift on 07/26/1974. He stayed there till relocating on 07/06/1978 to Engine 28 A Shift. Rodger decided to move to Engine 03 C shift on 08/14/1981, before moving to station 29 next. He first went to Engine 29 B shift on 09/24/1985, then moved over to Truck 29 B shift on 07/30/1990. He transferred back to Engine 12 A shift on 08/03/1993, before making his final transfer to station 21 on 02/02/1993. RD retired as a Corporal on 06/14/1994. His hobbies included playing golf and days of fishing after retirement.
