2016 PFFUI Legislative Agenda

[upme_private] Hello Brothers and Sisters,

Below is a message from PFFUI President Tom Hanify regarding this year’s legislative agenda and bills they are tracking. As always, this list will ebb and flow over the session but as of this writing these are the “hot topics”. Please share with your members so they can be aware of the work being done in the General Assembly.

Local Officers,

The General Assembly starts today. We are already moving quickly into this short session: Tomorrow afternoon, bills we are following will be in the Senate Pensions and Labor Committee.

The PFFUI has an aggressive agenda that includes identifying residences with engineered lumber, Weingarten rights for all police and firefighters in Indiana, and of course protecting our pension. We’re looking forward to a fruitful and productive session. If you have any questions, call Vice President Whited at 765-744-5853.
